It's liquid sunshine

Today I feel refreshed and I'm not sure why. I met Brandi up at the Jazz Festival today. It's been a while since just the two of us hung out together. I was really surprised that I didn't have to ask her to go, she asked me. Those types of things just usually aren't her style. It was bloody hot out, but we made the best of it. We got to walk around downtown (which for some reason I absolutely love doing), look at a little art, drank a frozen coffee drink, and listen to some good jazz. It was a great afternoon, until the rain came down. At first it was kind of a bummer, especially because she had her good camera with her, but after walking in it for about 10 minutes, it was great. I'm a rain walking kind of person. That reminds me of last summer. Erich and I were at Melissa's house and we decided to go for a walk and catch up a little. It was a great night, good company, nice talk, and then out of no where it starts downpouring. There was no reason to run really, we were soaked in about 10 seconds anyway. It was a nice little shower, and great fun. I'll never forget that.

I'm watching Jen's house for her this week while her and the fam are away in Florida. I love their house. It's very cozy. So I'm going to be having a lot of me time and I'm loving it. I need that, ya know to get my head together. Everybody needs that one thing to help get their head in the right place again. I really need that. This past week has been just terrible. My car has completely died and that really frustrates me. I'm not really sure what I'm going to do about that. I don't have the money to put a new transmission in it, but I need a vehicle. Its really frustrating. I'm not sure if its better to have bad luck or no luck at all.

I think I'm going to start the me process with a nice warm cup of tea and a good movie.
